2023 ASU-GSV Summit

Having recently taken part in my first ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, I had the opportunity to meet with current clients and future clients, attend multiple engaging and thought-provoking sessions, and network with a wide variety of forward-thinking individuals who are shaping the future of how students will learn. This was the most widely attended Summit to date with over 7,000 people in attendance. I found it to be an invaluable experience to learn more about the latest innovative technologies and how they are evolving and being developed in revolutionary new ways that will have a profound impact in education. Here are a few key takeaways I had:

1. Artificial Intelligence is here to stay, and it was an ongoing theme and topic of conversation throughout the Summit. This revolutionary technology is being utilized in a wide variety of ways and is a total gamechanger across the industry. It is my belief that disruptive innovations should not only be embraced but if we in the educational content industry are doing our jobs they should come at a fast and furious pace.
2. A continued emphasis on reaching all learners and making education accessible for all from “birth to earth” was another key conversation that threaded throughout the event. Equal education access was at the forefront of the Summit, which was great to hear as this is a topic that is a part of Westchester Education’s DNA. We work with a wide variety of clients on making their materials accessible and relevant to ALL learners.
3. Anytime so many forward-thinking stakeholders can gather to network and discuss the latest innovations and partnership opportunities there is a profound effect on future educational products and resources. I am excited to see what comes out of the conversations and opportunities that were first sparked here because the collaboration is sure to result in even more exciting opportunities for students.
