Having recently attended the ASU+GSV Summit 2024 in San Diego, I was once again immersed in a whirlwind of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking conversations that are shaping the future of education on a global scale. With over 7,000 attendees, this year’s Summit was the most widely attended yet and it offered a platform to explore the latest trends and technologies in education.

These are a few of my takeaways from the event:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) was once again a dominant theme as it has the potential to revolutionize education as we know it. The exciting possibilities are endless and as a firm believer in embracing disruptive innovations I am excited to see how AI will continue to fast-track advancements in education.
  • ASU+GSV was also a hub of collaboration and partnership, providing opportunities to connect with our existing vendor partners including Learnosity, EdGate, IEI, and Classlink, and meet with additional companies who we could potentially partner with on future projects to support our clients’ goals of developing educational materials that are engaging, informative, and student-centered. The Summit sparked numerous exciting conversations that are sure to result in even more innovations that will continue to drive positive change in education.
  • Another recurring theme was PreK to Gray, the importance of making education accessible to all learners no matter what stage of life they are in. This commitment to equal access aligns deeply with Westchester Education’s ethos as we strive to create inclusive educational materials in partnership with our clients. It was inspiring to see this shared focus on equity and inclusion amongst the attendees.
This year’s Summit theme was “Here Comes the Sun”, and as the three days of sessions drew to a close, the energy and excitement lingered on as a testament to the power of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking in shaping the future of education. It’s my hope that we will all continue to embrace disruptive technologies, foster meaningful collaborations, and work together to champion equal access to deliver a brighter future for learners everywhere.
