Position Description

Westchester Education is expanding our freelance team! We’re seeking ELA, phonics, and early literacy subject matter experts to help maintain the highest standards in curriculum-aligned content for our global publishing partners.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong subject matter expertise in phonics and early literacy instruction
  • Experience reviewing, editing, or developing educational materials
  • Experience writing decodables.
  • A deep understanding of curriculum standards and learning outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in working with PDFs, Word, and other digital editing tools
  • Teaching or classroom experience (a bonus!)
  • Familiarity with phonics programs and structured literacy approaches (Bonus)
  • Based in the US or UK (preferred)
