Case Study: Updating Swedish National Science Curriculum for US, UK, and international programs
The challenge:
Our client, a leading edtech provider, saw an opportunity to break into the UK and US markets by mapping their existing digital product to the Curriculum for England, International Baccalaureate, Cambridge IGCSE, and US NGSS framework. Their aim was to reuse and re-purpose as many assets (text, audio, video, and artwork) as possible to ensure the project was time-efficient and cost-effective.
How Westchester Helped:
We worked with the client to first establish their goals, then resourced a team of Science subject matter experts around the world with knowledge of teaching and creating content for each curriculum. The team worked through the existing content, subject by subject, and accurately matched where content could be re-used and re-purposed and where content would need to be created from scratch to ensure 100% coverage of each framework.
The Outcome:
We provided the client with three spreadsheets (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) for each curriculum, which went into granular detail regarding coverage. We also provided a summary cover sheet with percentage coverages to give a snapshot of the findings. We went on to work with this client to produce four large digital science programs – reusing, re-purposing, and creating new content.
