Walter Henderson, Jr, Senior Supervising Editor for ELT, was recently elected to serve a two-year term on the ETIN (Education Technology Industry Network) Board of Directors. As a division of SIIA (Software and Industry Information Association), the ETIN board represents approximately 100 member companies in the areas of development of educational software applications, digital content, and online learning.
Walter shared a few thoughts regarding his election to the ETIN Board of Directors:
“I am very appreciative of the ETIN voting members who supported my candidacy. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic community of education leaders! During my upcoming term, I am interested in exploring opportunities to further the integration of technology in foreign language education. Learning a foreign tongue has challenges, and teaching a second language is at times a herculean task. Embracing advances in technology has greatly strengthened pedagogical resources. Now, more so than ever, students and teachers can access an almost infinite amount of learning materials that complement their hard work in the classroom. I am certain that my involvement with ETIN will lay out a clear path to greater understanding of what, how, when, and why technology will play an important roles in our educational systems worldwide.”
The entire team at Westchester K-12 Publishing Services congratulates Walter on this accomplishment and is looking forward to the valuable contributions he will make as a member of the ETIN Board of Directors.
