Jennifer Cole: Content Director, Literacy, Humanities, and Languages
Jennifer Cole, Content Director of Literacy, Humanities, and Languages, comes to Westchester Education Services with more than twenty years of educational publishing experience. She has led teams to produce hundreds of thousands of hours of student and teacher content for learners at all grade levels. Her passions include children’s literature, language acquisition, and ensuring all students voices are represented in today’s educational products. Jennifer has worked both in-house at publishers such as Houghton Mifflin and Sundance, and for educational vendors including MPS and KGL. She is skilled at helping clients dream products become reality.

Sandra Colmenares, Senior Supervising Editor, Languages and Translation
Sandra Colmenares, Senior Supervising Editor, Languages and Translation, brings a nearly 30-year background in the educational publishing industry to the projects she leads. She has worked for education publishers, including McGraw-Hill Education, Encyclopedia Britannica, Benchmark Education, and for various publishing vendors. Sandra has managed translation and dual language education programs in the core subjects of mathematics, science, and ELA and has developed core Spanish materials for SLA.

Samantha Tucker: Senior Supervising Editor, Culturally Responsive Education & Social Studies
Samantha Tucker, Senior Supervising Editor, Culturally Responsive Education & Social Studies, collaborates with freelance talent to critically assess educational materials for clients invested in culturally responsive education. Sam has taught all ages, pre-school through post-secondary English classes, and has designed curriculum and professional development courses for Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education in South Korea. Sam has dedicated herself to anti-racist pedagogy and policy, created community organizer training for Ohio Voice, and led writing workshops for historically marginalized writers and students. In November 2021, Sam was recognized as a Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree for the work she and her team do in creating educational materials that are culturally responsive. Whether teaching or writing, Sam is focused on the development of culturally responsive communities to address the urgent need for representation, justice, and equity.

Mark DaGrossa, Director of Creative Services, sets the design direction for Westchester Education Services and oversees all art, illustration, and design work. Mark worked in Mazer’s design division for 20 years before starting his own studio, Folio Designhaus, which serviced clients in the educational and commercial markets.

Chris Herrfurth: Education Production Manager
Chris Herrfurth, Production Manager, manages production work for Westchester Education Services client projects. He leads resources in the U.S., as well as offshore teams in Chennai and Noida. Chris spent years on the production teams at Mazer and TSI and is adept at leveraging technology to streamline production workflows. Roger Market: Director, Project Management
Roger Market, Director, Project Management, oversees project management for Westchester Education Services, including ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Prior to joining Westchester Education Services in 2017, Roger held editorial and project management roles at several other development houses, including Wisewire and Cenveo. Roger is passionate about quality data, and builds tracking systems to ensure he can report out status to our internal teams and external clients seamlessly and efficiently.

Nilofer Ali: Resources Manager
Nilofer Ali, Resources Manager and DEI Committee Lead, is responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, and management of the freelance talent contracted for client projects. Additionally, she has implemented an internship program in coordination with colleges in the Dayton, Ohio area to increase awareness for students, particularly those from populations historically underrepresented in educational publishing, about the career opportunities available to them. Prior to joining Westchester Education Services, Nilofer worked as a teacher in private and public PreK-8 classrooms with diverse populations in urban, suburban, and virtual settings. Kevin Schroeder: Director of Client Solutions
Kevin Schroeder, Director of Client Solutions, has over 14 years of experience working in the educational publishing industry, most recently at Hazelden Publishing and with It’s About Time, which is currently known as Activate Learning. Previously, he worked in the EdTech space with SMART Technologies, and is a former Social Studies classroom teacher with a degree in Social Studies Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching. Kevin's background in the market provides him with extensive knowledge to help clients develop solutions to ensure all students succeed.

Tim Cross: Business Development Manager
Tim Cross, Business Development Manager, is engaged in creating connections between educational publishers, educational technology providers, and our team of subject matter experts. His education includes an English degree from the University of Toronto and graduate work at the University of South Dakota. Tyler M. Carey: Chief Revenue Officer
Tyler M. Carey, Chief Revenue Officer, joined Westchester in 2014 and is responsible for generating new revenue and strengthening the relationships with Westchester’s clients. Tyler’s technical expertise combined with his stellar people skills enable him to thoroughly understand his client’s objectives, helping them secure the best solution to meet their needs. Key Westchester partners supported by Tyler include American Society for Microbiology, Bloomsbury, Crooked Lane, The MIT Press, Twelve Tables Press, and Brookings Institution Press.
Tyler has worked in publishing and technology for over 20 years, with a background including work at Wolters-Kluwer and Harris Connect. His roles have included account management, sales, marketing, product development, social media management, and technology consulting. He is an experienced conference speaker, often presenting on the impact of technology on different industries, sharing strategies to adapt emerging technologies into more traditional organizations. In 2017, Tyler was promoted to Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing the company’s sales, marketing, and business development efforts as well as the growing staff supporting those initiatives.
